Shiraigumo is a gigantic spider that resembles a Mexican Red Knee Tarantula. Shiraigumo has massive fangs, and bristling hairs all over her body that can pierce the flesh and cause nasty infections if left untreated. She has two large eyes that are surrounded by six more smaller eyes. The ends of her feet are clawed, making climbing easier, and doubling as slashing weapons.

BACKGROUND: Shiraigumo met Kuromaru in the dark depths of the underground caverns belonging to one of the many islands of the Land of Water. Initially, she had attempted to eat Kuromaru, who was travelling with his parents at the time - but she chose instead to spare him when Kuromaru intentionally led his parents into her den after noticing that she was watching them. Kuromaru claimed it was an offering to pay his respects to the Great Moon Harvester. Amused by this, and sensing in Kuromaru a lust for blood not unlike her own, Shiraigumo formed a summoning contract with Kuromaru, demanding to receive more such tributes in exchange for her strength.
