No New Posts Demon Desert

Surrounded by a crumbling sandstone wall built by a long dead society, the Demon Desert is aptly named for its grueling and harsh conditions. Between the lack of water and the endless sand, any shinobi passing through here will have to contend with poisonous cacti, quick sand, and the dried out husks of those that once dwelled in the decaying desert ruins.

Known to the people of the Land of Wind as the 'Valley of Kings', this deep valley in the heart of the country is home to many ancient tombs of nobles and daimyō long past. Spirits roam the endless ancient tombs, buried deep beneath the banks of sand.

No New Posts Quicksand Plains

Also called the dry sea of the wind, the Quicksand Plains are a dangerous stretch of land in the eastern area of the Land of Wind. Miles and miles of deadly quicksand will appear and disappear overnight, changing location without any rhyme or reason.

A marvelous city constructed near the desert's edge, Rōran is home to towering skyscrapers and an ancient palace. The city has a surprising amount of life for it's barren location, thanks in part to being built on top of a Ryūmyaku, a ley line of chakra.

A vast dried out Savannah in the northern region of the Land of Wind, Sakuzenriku is home to many mysterious herbs, roots and other fauna that have flowered despite the impossible odds of the heat. The denizens of the Wind Country revere it as sacred ground.

Board Description
Land of Wind
The Land of Wind is located on the south of Land of Fire, and borders with the Land of Rivers. The country covers a vast realm, but that realm is largely composed of deserts. Because there is very little rainfall throughout the year, the people of the country live in villages built on one of the desert's many oases. Despite the country's extremely harsh environment, it has a large population.
