Miyamairi is a fifteen year old shinobi who's style blends modern aesthetic and practicality with history and tradition. Over a dark shinobi undersuit, he wears a red button-clasp jacket made of sturdy material with gold trimmings on the shoulder, taken from a faraway foreign land. His skin is pale white, and his hair is greyed, with a horn beginning to grow from the side of his head.

The barrier bursts, and spinning orbs continue until they unravel themselves against their target.

BACKGROUND: Miyamairi Ōtsutsuki's childhood was one shrouded in secrecy. His mother had managed at a young age to escape the Ōtsutsuki massacre that claimed the lives of most of her clan, and had hidden in a land on the border of the Land of Ancestors to keep her family safe. Growing up, Miyamairi always felt like he was different from other children. He was acutely aware of his clan's legacy, and felt a deep sense of responsibility to honor their memory.
As he entered adulthood in the era of Ninshū, Miyamairi's path crossed with that of the enigmatic Jashin Ōtsutsuki. Jashin recognized something special in Miyamairi, and took him under his wing. Miyamairi was initially excited to learn from such a powerful figure, but soon realized that Jashin's methods were unorthodox and perculiar. Jashin was obsessed with unlocking the full potential of the Ōtsutsuki clan's chakra, and saw Miyamairi as the perfect subject for his experiments.
Despite his reservations, Miyamairi allowed Jashin to experiment on him, hoping that he could harness the power of the Shinju and use it to protect his clan and preserve them for future generations. However, as Jashin's experiments became more and more invasive, Miyamairi began to question whether the ends truly justified the means. He felt like he was losing control over his own body, and feared that he would become a tool for Jashin's twisted ambitions.
Though he had been forbidden by his host, Miyamairi would often sneak out in the dark of night, and travel to the village of ninshū and the Castle Ōtsutsuki and play with the children there. A collection of stragglers from lesser Ōtsutsuki houses had made their way to join the sages, and with them they had brought children. And the sages had children, too.
He did not get many moments with them, but Miyamairi did treasure the time he spent with them.
As Jashin's mind and body began to deteriorate, he became increasingly desperate to unlock the full potential of the Ōtsutsuki chakra on his quest for immortality. In a final act of desperation he prepared to mount an attack on Castle Ōtsutsuki. Miyamairi protested, shocked and terrified to hear that Jashin planned to kill the only other remaining Ōtsutsuki in order to achieve his goals.
To prevent his interference, Jashin placed a powerful seal on Miyamairi to suppress his powers and entrapped him in a crystal deep beneath the ground. Miyamairi was left alone in the darkness, conscious but paralyzed, with nothing but his thoughts for company for over a thousand years.
As the age of the hundred-year war ended, a mining company operating in the Land of Rice was digging out valuable stones from deep beneath the earth, when they happened upon the strangest thing; an almost human creature perfectly preserved within the stone. Breaking him out with the help of a Crystal Release master, they freed Miyamairi. Confused, he ran from the miners and escaped into the world above.
As Miyamairi emerged, he realized that the world had changed completely in the time he'd been trapped. What was once the remote wilderness was now a thriving fledling nation, and the Ōtsutsuki clan was all but forgotten. Miyamairi refused to let his clan's legacy die. He set out to discover what had become of the Ōtsutsuki, and to find whoever he could to carry on the teachings of Ninshū.

[BOON] ESSENCE RESONANCE (E RANK IMPLANT): Ōtsutsuki are, at birth gifted the knowledge of how chakra flows through the world— while they do not possess the visual prowess of any Dōjutsu Kekkei Genkai such as the Byakugan, it is by instinct that they have the unique ability to sap power from others.
- Twice per thread, as a long action, you can unleash an attack ninjutsu worth 15 x your Ninjutsu. If it lands, instead of dealing damage, the target loses chakra equal to three fifths of your NP (this can put them into negatives), and you gain as much natural energy.
- Natural Energy is a separate resource. You start with no natural energy, but can gain some by draining chakra from others. Your natural energy cap is equal to your NP. While you have more than 0 natural energy, all of your statistics increase by 1, and by another 1 for each rank above D you are. Your statistic caps, and associated caps (like nintaijutsu) increase by the same amount.
- Whenever you would spend chakra, such as on a jutsu, you must substitute half (rounding up) of the chakra cost with the same natural energy cost. If you do not have enough natural energy for this, it will substitute as much as it can.
[BASE] NINSHŪ COMMUNION: Ninshū is more than just a religion. Ninshū is the art of observing the living chakra, and the universe. This enabled them to speak with the collective chakra, and influence it in ways others can not.
- Once per thread as a short action, you can restore the chakra of an ally. The next time you naturally regenerate chakra, the ally gains the chakra instead of you. The ally only gains this chakra at the end of their next post, after all of their actions.
- Once per thread as a long action, you can call upon the living chakra for aid. You or one of your allies is healed for 5 x your NP.
[BANE] GENETIC ANOMALY: The scientifically altered bodies of Shin Clan members makes their genetics very unstable, making it so that they also carry within them the weaknesses of the clans which they transplanted from.
- You also carry the Banes of each Boon you gain at C-Rank and A-Rank, if you chose any Boons at those ranks.
- If you do not have [Base] Assimilation, you carry the Bane of the trait unlocked at E-Rank, if it is a Boon.
- You gain these Banes as soon as you reach those required ranks.
[BANE] FOCUSED AFFINITY: While innately gifted with the power to manipulate raw Chakra of the world, Ōtsutsuki clan members aren't as focused on mastering an elemental affinity due to the nature of absorbing chakra in the way that they do.
- You can only choose 1 nature affinity at character creation, and do not gain XP as a result of having only 1 nature affinity.
- In the event you used Hybridization with another clan and received a Kekkei Genkai advanced nature affinity, you still only start with 1 of the basic elemental affinities at character creation. As a result, you must spend 15XP to unlock the second base affinity and then 15XP once more for their advanced nature affinity before learning any others.
