Hey hey! Before we begin I want to make it clear that my knowledge of mechanics and how to make them work isn't great. I don't have a good brain for maths and it's likely that a few of my critiques are just because there isn't an angle I'm seeing.
I think these mechanics are great, well thought out and really fun to play with. This is mostly a thread to just discuss a couple of small flaws I've picked up in my test fight with Kuroda in this thread
Now I am aware that some of these issues are the results of my build, lack of Jutsu diversity at low rank and me unwilling to drop my transformation.
However:
I think some changes to how Bleedthrough works might be in order. Specifically how much Bleedthrough damage remains after being either clashed with or defended against. Bleedthrough against barriers is less of an issue, as I know there is a Jutsu variant that prevents bleedthrough reduction.
But I feel like there needs to be something in place to allow a winning attack in a clash to keep at least half its power when bleeding through. I've noticed we could wind up with an issue in our fight thread with me using my strongest attack against Kuroda's strongest attack over and over with my attack only winning out by five damage each time. Leading to an attrition heavy slog that kills the pace of combat somewhat.
Now again, I know the obvious solution is to create a few more Jutsu that can counteract this issue. But unfortunately we are testing with the baseline amount, and I have no elements that are strong against Kuroda. I'm just wondering if we could consider an adjustment to how bleedthrough works?
Interested to hear other thoughts and opinions on this and I will reply with more critiques and suggestions as I find them. Overall it's been a fun experience, just trying to find ways to keep the pace going.
