The front of her hair is a soft brown, and becomes a light blonde towards the back. Her eyebrows also boast this dual-tone in a subtle manner.

BACKGROUND:
Born into nobility, and thrust into the shadows of those viewed as greater, Hanakuri is the daughter of the still living Chiaki Senju— a bright, enthusiastic, faithful expert tactician, revered mediator of clan issues— and younger sister of the late Kashiwa, and thus Hanakuri is the older first cousin of Kozakura.
Hanakuri, being nobility, a lot was expected of her, but things would quickly prove to become quite difficult. Though Senju through and through, she was not like her mother, her uncle or even her dear cousin.
No, Hanakuri, while she was a Senju, could not produce Wood Release techniques. Every attempt to do so resulted in something completely different; Mud Release. Other nobles were at a loss, near enough furious despite the indisputable fact that Hanakuri was of Senju blood, it just seemed that her innate chakra natures combined differently while still being water and water, creating something few had even ever heard of.
While war raged on across the world, Hanakuri had to fight her own war. From day one, Hanakuri was shunned by those outside of her immediate family— even at the threat of retribution due to harassing one of noble lineage. It was ceaseless, and it drove Hanakuri to completely disregard almost the entirety of her clan beyond her family.
Since her mother, father, uncle and even younger cousin Kozakura were often busy; Hanakuri sometimes shut herself away to secretly practice her Mud Release techniques. She was going to prove that it was beyond that stupid Wood Release, better in every conceivable way in comparison. She even recreated some Wood Release techniques through Mud Release. If deployed into the field, Hanakuri did what was asked of her, often outpacing others of her clan due to her tenacious training. She did her best to protect fellow Senju, sure, but not out of a sense of morality, it was to have something over them. If they did not show her respect, they deserved none of hers in return.
Furthermore, Instead of even remotely bothering to change the minds of the ignorant and stubborn, Hanakuri took to disguising herself and leaving the Senju territories, going as far as she could until she saw as little trees as possible without being in immediate danger— she often preferred to absconding into the allied territories of the Hyuga or Hatake as well as others and making friend there instead.
Even though she largely kept her distance from her clan, Hanakuri would always check on her family whenever she could, and was delighted to spend time with Kozakura whenever she could; and even taught her a few things, like arts and crafts!
One day, the war of these ineffective and treacherous Daimyo had stopped, their forces were withdrawn. While this may have been cause for celebration, the scars of their selfish deeds remained, digging deep into the clans of the world. Hanakuri could see it, perhaps better than a fair amount of her peers, and it disgusted her. These Daimyo, they didn’t care about anything other than themselves and their status, just like the other Senju that saw her as lesser. They were the same.
Hanakuri decided that she couldn’t stick around anymore, living with the Senju was hell on her heart and she couldn’t take it anymore. She left a note to her family alongside a small mud doll created by her; one that would persist on its own so long as she lived so that they would know she was safe.
With that done, she left. She cast away her name, solely going by Hanami from then on. She went as far as she could, even further past the territories of allies, through miscellaneous lands until she saw no more trees, nothing that could remind her of where she came from; the Land of Wind...

- Mud counts as Water when attacking, and Earth when defending or evading, for damage type interactions.
- Each time an attack Mud jutsu is used the thread gains a Bog token, to a maximum of 25.
- While you have at least one Bog token, the thread has an active Mud Release attack with the Escape Prevention effect resting indefinitely in wait.
- When activated, it has a power of your Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, or Genjutsu (your choice) multiplied by the number of Bog tokens you choose to use.
- This attack will not give Bog tokens. Following activation, Bog tokens cannot be used for 3 posts.
- While you have at least one Bog token, the thread has an active Mud Release attack with the Escape Prevention effect resting indefinitely in wait.
- When you use your ability to spend chakra to heal once per thread, the next jutsu you use, your Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and Genjutsu statistics are reduced by half of the chakra you spent, but only for that jutsu. This effect ends after three turns if you don't use any jutsu. You cannot use a jutsu that would be negative in power.

Description: Much like the Wood Release version, the Mud Release version of the Mayfly jutsu is an infiltration technique. It allows the user to merge their body with the ground and travel through it, but the key difference is that plant-life is hardly a factor, the ground itself is more prevalent, in that the user can detect vibrations of things walking or moving on the surface.

Description: This technique involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet, and using that to climb solid without using one's hands or climbing equipment. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the surface and fall off. If it is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the surface, causing the surface to be damaged around the point of contact and the user will fall.

Description: This technique involves focusing chakra to the bottom of ones feet. The amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly so the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. Too little and the user will sink, too much and the user will greatly disturb the water's surface. Additionally, a user under water can focus chakra on their hands or any other body part that makes contact with the surface of the water. If they were submerged, they can climb atop the water as if they were climbing out of a pool.
