APPEARANCE
Iori stands at 5’9” or 179cm and is of a thin and lean build. He has amber toned skin with freckling i, he has orangey-red eyes with a sort of swirl pattern inside them. He has a long jaw and rounded square chin. As is typical of the Otsutsuki clan, Iori has hooked horns atop his head— in his case protruding from his upper forehead— that have freckles on them as well. His hair is short, and is a sort of molten orange sort of colour, he also has sideburns.
Most of the time, Iori wears a set of traditional Otsutsuki clan garb— with his own personal modifications and requests given to the clan tailor. For one; Iori’s version of the coat does not have a large popped collar, instead he opts to wear a red scarf with a large orange magatama shaped gemstone/pin, it is also not an overcoat and ends at his waist where he wears a black belt with a small magatama buckle, the sleeves of his coat are still open, just not as much as most others would be. Iori’s trousers are baggy, similar to a martial artist or monk’s gi, and they match his coat in colour. He also wears black shinobi boots with white straps. Otherwise, Iori wears a black form fitting mesh suit with open hands and feet under all of this.

BACKGROUND:
Some are born into greatness, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. Iori Otsutsuki fell under the first and third categories for reasons largely out of his control. Born as the first child of the once ridiculously rowdy Kensei Konjiki and the eternal flame that is Natsu Otsutsuki, Iori had incredible potential from the get-go. Unfortunately this came with quite a lot of expectations, and the fairness of some would be dubious to say the least.
Iori’s parents, wise in their years and drawing from their own experience in dealing with certain ultimately harmful self-perception issues, knew well enough how to make sure their child avoided as much of the same suffering that they went through as possible. As such, Kensei and Natsu would treat their child first and foremost as what he was— their child. They endeavored to give their son the much needed opportunity to be exactly that while also nurturing the talents he already displayed in the arts of Ninjutsu— particularly his mastery of Fire, much like his mother Natsu..
At the age of 8, Iori’s parents had another child, and thus, Iori had become a big brother! His younger sibling was a girl, and she would be named Aki, born with an innate talent of her own, though this time it was a mastery of Earth rather than Fire. Iori took to the task of being an older brother like a duck to water, and while he wasn’t as wisened and experienced as his parents were for obvious reasons, it was ultimately good for both Iori and Aki to grow up while supporting each other in ways only siblings could. To Iori, Aki was someone to protect and guide. To Aki, Iori was someone to look up to and confide in. The two children would effectively be each other’s learning buddy from the get-go, which gave their parents an idea! They could start up a sort of dojo for the people of their village to teach the youth a greater understanding of Ninshu as a whole. Surprisingly, this gained a lot of traction— the children of their village were generally inquisitive and ready to learn, but this attention was not simply just positive. A lot of adults in the village were instead jealous of the talents the young ones possessed, especially Iori, who even as a young boy displayed strength to rival a grown adult and that led to some harmful jealousy bubbling up from some people which got him even more unwanted attention. Even those who were more in awe and encouraging about it had no idea how their demeanor could be seen as.
Growing up, Iori felt increasingly alienated by those older than him that were outside of his immediate family, but he luckily found comfort in those more around his age or younger. Now in return inspired by the success of his parent’s dojo, Iori had a goal to work towards— to be a teacher himself and offer his experience and wisdom to the youth when the responsibility would eventually fall to him in due time.
There would still be some that came to him for tutelage directly, and of course Iori would teach all that he knew to those who were willing to learn. Most notably, he would preface his teachings with the importance of respect for others that show it in turn; to see people as people and not as their feats or abilities so that none would feel invisible while being gawked at like him.
Now a young man at 18 years of age, Iori would take the time to prepare for a sort of pilgrimage across the land in order to amass knowledge and study further. Perhaps he could help people along the way, or even gain some new students for his parent’s dojo, but... More than anything, he would greatly find it illuminating to get out into the world where hopefully nobody would assume anything of him... A world where he could achieve greatness on his own merits and hard work.

- Twice per thread, as a long action, you can unleash an attack ninjutsu worth 15 x your Ninjutsu. If it lands, instead of dealing damage, the target loses chakra equal to three fifths of your NP (this can put them into negatives), and you gain as much natural energy.
- Natural Energy is a separate resource. You start with no natural energy, but can gain some by draining chakra from others. Your natural energy cap is equal to your NP. While you have more than 0 natural energy, all of your statistics increase by 1, and by another 1 for each rank above D you are. Your statistic caps, and associated caps (like nintaijutsu) increase by the same amount.
- Whenever you would spend chakra, such as on a jutsu, you must substitute half (rounding up) of the chakra cost with the same natural energy cost. If you do not have enough natural energy for this, it will substitute as much as it can.

- You can spend 1 XP to apply Steel to a ninjutsu or genjutsu, or 2 XP for taijutsu.
- Steel counts as Water when attacking, and Earth when defending or evading, for damage type interactions.
- Defensive Steel Release jutsu ignore the Piercing effect. Additionally, you can freely apply Piercing to an attack Steel Release jutsu, though not often. You regain the ability to do this if you didn’t use it in all of your last post.
[BANE] FOCUSED AFFINITY: While innately gifted with the power to manipulate raw Chakra of the world, Ōtsutsuki clan members aren't as focused on mastering an elemental affinity due to the nature of absorbing chakra in the way that they do.
- You can only choose 1 nature affinity at character creation, and do not gain XP as a result of having only 1 nature affinity.
- In the event you used Hybridization with another clan and received a Kekkei Genkai advanced nature affinity, you still only start with 1 of the basic elemental affinities at character creation. As a result, you must spend 15XP to unlock the second base affinity and then 15XP once more for their advanced nature affinity before learning any others.

Name: Katon: Chou [Fire Release: Butterfly]

Description: The user supplies themselves with fire and uses chakra guided by hand-seals to shape it into a fluttering butterfly. This little torch-lit creature can then be controlled for a small period of time within anywhere up to 500m away. Eventually, once chakra is no longer being supplied to the jutsu, or the butterfly is out of range, it'll burst into a puff of harmless flame.

Description: This technique involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet, and using that to climb solid without using one's hands or climbing equipment. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the surface and fall off. If it is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the surface, causing the surface to be damaged around the point of contact and the user will fall.

Description: This technique involves focusing chakra to the bottom of ones feet. The amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly so the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. Too little and the user will sink, too much and the user will greatly disturb the water's surface. Additionally, a user under water can focus chakra on their hands or any other body part that makes contact with the surface of the water. If they were submerged, they can climb atop the water as if they were climbing out of a pool.
