BACKGROUND:
Like many children of the 100 year war, the young Tenma Lee barely had the chance to properly get to know his parents, but there still existed an unbreakable connection between them all. For as little as the young man may remember his parents by now, he would know them by their love should he meet them again.
You see, Tenma’s parents; passionate as they were powerful, had taken a stalwart stance in the terrible raging war that would cause them to often go into battle while also lovingly raising their young boy. By the time their boy Tenma was but approximately four years old, they had been given a very dangerous mission in a far off country that would likely see them perish. To that end, they would leave everything in their possession to Tenma’s grandmother on his mother’s side, as well as guardianship over Tenma should they not return.
His grandmother’s name was Sekiun Lee, a strange eccentric senior that was once allegedly a legendary shinobi with the alias of “Kumo No Ryu” or “Dragon Of the Clouds”; though there are few individuals of her age range that remain, let alone ones able to confirm this lofty title. That wasn’t to say she was a push over of an old lady, oh no, no, no! Sekiun was well respected within the Lee clan for her wisdom and kind yet fierce nature.
As time went by, it became clear that Tenma’s parents would seemingly not return. Granny Sekiun would go on to raise Tenma much the same way she raised his mother, to be kind and passionate, yet stern and measured when the time came, much like the clouds above; from being a pleasant vibrant sky to an overcast unpredictable blanket of clouds to a raging storm, she taught it all.
Tenma, immensely grateful to his grandmother, took her teachings very seriously, listening intently to stories about his parents whenever she would share them so that his connection to them would remain in his heart without fail.
The young man’s life was obviously not without struggles. Aside from having to live and grow in a world of war, there were issues that hit closer to home for him. While the Lee clan were renowned for their hard work and will to succeed, Tenma saw a large flaw from an early age— such positive qualities could end up going sour and lead to some fierce stubbornness. As a result of said stubbornness, there was this idea within the Lee clan that one need only strive to perfect their Taijutsu, and that seeking to further one’s Ninjutsu or Genjutsu was meaningless. Tenma took a massive issue with this as he was taught that a strong body was the product of a sound mind.
Seeing the aversion to training outside of Taijutsu as a cowardly and defeatist, Tenma made it his goal to prove that such an attitude was ultimately harmful in the end— to prove that hard work would conquer absolutely anything. To that end, Tenma decided to practice Genjutsu, in spite of how difficult it was, regardless of the funny looks he ended up getting, no matter what was thrown his way, he had his goal, and he was determined to even go beyond it.
So, as Tenma grew up, so too did his skills in both Taijutsu and Genjutsu, as much as people within his clan may have liked to discourage him or deter him, not only would they fail but they could not possibly argue with the results right in front of them. Now 19 years of age and invigorated by his progress, Tenma gained yet another goal; to find the truth about his parents— to know exactly what happened to them. He still felt the need to get far stronger however before dedicating more time to it. Logically, that would mean finding someone else to actually train with, someone with experience in Genjutsu ideally since he wasn’t going to gain anything by training against his own clan at this point. The question then became...

Description: This technique involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet, and using that to climb solid without using one's hands or climbing equipment. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the surface and fall off. If it is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the surface, causing the surface to be damaged around the point of contact and the user will fall.

Description: This technique involves focusing chakra to the bottom of ones feet. The amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly so the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. Too little and the user will sink, too much and the user will greatly disturb the water's surface. Additionally, a user under water can focus chakra on their hands or any other body part that makes contact with the surface of the water. If they were submerged, they can climb atop the water as if they were climbing out of a pool.

The payout however, is vastly rewarding, as if they are capable of avoiding what was intended to hit them, the sheer force of their movement and raw skill in the Taijutsu arts can repel force back at their attackers.
[This technique uses 11 Chakra Points, 1 of which cannot be reduced in cost. Dodges for 11x[Ninjutsu+Speed] and is neutral. If it successfully dodges an attack, half of the difference between it and the attack’s power (rounding down) is sent as an attack at any target of the user’s choice with no action required. By taking a long action to dodge instead of a short action, this jutsu can dodge multiple attacks at once, so long as their cumulative power is still less than its power.]
