Mitsubaki
Basics
■ Clan Type: Active | Kekkei Genkai
■ Clan Leader: open
The Mitsubaki Clan were once a slum dwelling shinobi family like most of the people in the Land of Earth, until their blood changed by chance, and allowed them to create gemstones from the air around them and the earth beneath them. Now they are the amongst richest shinobi worldwide, shaping their crystals for the nobles of the land and even the daimyō.
Clan Features
[BOON] STRONGER THAN YOU: In times of desperation, Mitsubaki can convert a small portion of their life energy to access extra chakra reserves, allowing them to continue fighting at full strength for a short period of time.
- As a long action, you can gain any amount of chakra up to half your maximum chakra pool (rounding down), taking 4 damage for each point of chakra gained. You can only use this ability two times per thread.
[BASE] SHŌTON | CRYSTAL RELEASE: Crystal release is a combined nature transformation kekkei genkai that merges Earth and Wind into physical objects from the matter around them. You must start with the Earth and Wind affinities, and you gain the special affinity ‘Crystal’.
- You can spend 1 XP to apply Crystal to a ninjutsu or genjutsu, or 2 XP for a taijutsu.
- Crystal counts as Fire when attacking, and Earth when defending or evading, for damage type interactions.
- When you use a D-Rank or higher Crystal Release jutsu, one defence jutsu you have active has its power increased by twice your Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, or Taijutsu score (your choice).
- If there are no such jutsu active, you will instead create a defensive jutsu around you worth twice your Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, or Taijutsu score (your choice). Defensive jutsu created this way will not reduce bleedthrough like they normally would.
[BANE] SHATTER: While the Mitsubaki clan are durable and well known for their defensive crystals, once they have been injured it is much easier to completely break them.
- When your health reaches lower than 8 x your NP, you are considered 'Shattered' for the rest of the thread, even if you later gain more health than this through healing.
- While 'Shattered', each time you take damage, the damage increases by your NP. This also includes the damage that pushed your health this low. However, it does not apply to poison damage or individual Damage Over Time intervals, only its total damage.
