Izuno
Basics
■ Clan Type: Passive | Hiden
■ Clan Leader: open
The Izuno Clan were never important, and they never had any claims to fame. Scraping near the bottom, Izuno shinobi only managed to make a living for themselves by learning from nature’s greatest survivors and adapters: the cats. They learnt to be fast, adaptive, and opportunistic, and learnt that relying on pure force could be followed only by failure. Over the generations, their teachings became more and more cat-inspired, and more insular, cut off from conventional shinobi teachings and leading to novel feline jutsu that only they could have thought to develop.
Stereotypically, Izuno shinobi are passionate, mercurial, fickle, and cat-like, and this reputation has only been strengthened because of generations of their highly insular society. They are taught to excel both individually and in groups, for the Clan has developed jutsu meant to support others and ‘speed them up’ allowing for a truly dynamic style.
Clan Features
[BASE] CAT COVERING: The Izuno Clan shinobi have shared their wisdom with each other for many centuries through their scrolls. Such scrolls contain important clan jutsu such as that of the Cat Covering.
- You may use this strange jutsu as a long action at a cost of 4 chakra. While active, when you use ninjutsu or taijutsu, instead of using your ninjutsu or taijutsu score for its damage or power, you add your Speed score to it (to a maximum of 20) and use that total instead.
- Abilities that would increase the cap of ninjutsu, taijutsu, or Speed will also increase this cap (but it only uses the best cap increase).
- This jutsu ends when you are affected by a fuinjutsu for more than one post, though you can use it as many times as you wish.
[BASE] CAT SURPRISE: Izuno Clan shinobi have learnt to maintain the momentum of their movement, and use that either for their own benefit or to help speed up their allies
- No more than once per post, when you successfully dodge an attack, you gain a Cat token.
- You can use an evasion or attack jutsu worth your Speed x however many Cat tokens you spent. This does not cost chakra.
- At the end of your post, you can spend any number of Cat tokens to help your allies catch up to you. If an ally starts their post before your next post, and the number of allies that used this feature this round is less than the Cat tokens spent, they may declare that they are using this feature and use your Speed in place of their own for the rest of their post.
