Some of the guards and hired goons along this path of destruction had thought themself prepared, on high alert in some cases, but clearly they weren't prepared for what was coming. What Kuromaru may not have noticed was that there were guards posted at all at some of his targets residence's, given a few were a bit less important, or with pitifully fortified homes. This last target was like a fortress in comparison to the others, and once more, lots of guards, even if nothing to a Shinobi, they were still well trained and as armed as they could be for what was coming. Why were they so prepared on what otherwise would have been a completely random day, with no enemies to the extent of Koba otherwise, and certainly not that of someone with Kuromaru's skill.
For all that Kuromaru knew and the information he was given, someone had given some information of their own in the opposite direction. Koba wasn't so stupid nor in the business of wasting his own time to send someone to do all this and then making it harder. Someone within his group with just enough information, but clearly not all the right information, had alerted these men to what was coming, but clearly not about who was coming.
Everyone at what was seemingly some sort of relaxed party, all these people drinking, having a good time, they were all plants. Unfortunately for them, they weren't aware of the fact they had been put into places, set up on this board in certain ways, all waiting to die and only a few people knew. Each one that dropped had their importance in their sphere of the world, but not to the target Kuromaru was after. Some of the guards had even been told not to react if they did in fact hear something suspicious, and for all that the perimeter was guarded, strangely the inside of the house wasn't. The target was inside the home, right where Kuromaru was told he would be, and a few people along the way in a perfect path, leading the Kaguya right to him.

It was almost comical, how poorly the guards were performing. Oh, they tried. A few even came close to catching Kuromaru by surprise as they stalked around corners. In lieu of showing too much, Kuromaru had met them and cut them down using the weapons of fallen guards, turning the hallways into nightmares.
Anyone that fled, would be cut down from behind - no one that saw his face would be allowed to live. However - he wasn't stupid. Kuromaru recognized when he was being funneled towards an intended area. Curiosity is what led him to follow the route.
But - the number of guards within the structure did not at all meet the expectations Kuromaru had believed. Swiftly, like death made wind, Kuromaru moved down the corridors, and to the room the information implied he would be. Finally, Kuromaru stops at a door, and pushes it open. He steps heedlessly into the room, scanning with his eyes and ears - ready to react should there be an attempted ambush.

Once the Kaguya, sent as a paid assassin into this compound, into the home, and now into this exact room, opened the door, they would have found it a strange sight, or perhaps a lack there of. The room was pitch black except for the bit of light streaming in through the opened doorway. There were no windows, no lamps, absolutely nothing but silence. There was a bit of a noise from the far end of the room, maybe a good twenty meters away.
The room was massive, at least compared to a normal bedroom, but it was clearly empty to some degree as what otherwise would have been a near impossible to hear muffled voice echoed just enough. "Did you think you'd walk in here, kill me that easily? Maybe drag me off somewhere?" The voice sounded scared for all the bravado it spoke with, but it sounded as if it were behind something. Another noise began to resonate, followed by two lights a few feet above the ground traveling upward as they extended. Once they stopped growing they showed what looked to be two katana and the light reflecting off of what seemed to be a metallic suit, giving the area around them a surprising amount of light from both the chakra and the reflection. Standing on the far end of the room looked to be not a guard, not even a Shinobi, but fully dressed and geared Samurai, at least visually. Once more the voice spoke, clear now it was behind some wall or door as it wasn't coming from the figure but behind them. "Take out this assassin!"
